Vogue approached The Mill with a vision for The Met Gala that had never been done before. The idea was to recreate classic art pieces that are on display at The Met featuring celebrities in their attire from the evening of the Met Gala and post them the same night. In order to pull this off we had a team of artists that prepped every shot, weeks before the event's debut. To be sure that everything was prepared we had a stand-in so that we knew how to recreate Vogue's vision of the paintings. On the night of the event we had a team on-site filming the celebrities with green screen so they could be sent back to our artists. The artists would then rotoscope and treat the footage to create a social media post in a matter of hours from the time that the subjects would be arriving at the Met.
